Historical Research

Since 2008, an ongoing campaign of historical research has been underway to support the relaunch and continued resurrection of the iconic James E. Pepper whiskey brand. The archives and museum at the distillery contain a large collection of preserved pre- and post-Prohibition JEP whiskey, detailed production documents and recipes from the 1880s to the 1960s, historic distillery maps and layouts, mechanical drawings of distillation systems, and personal letters and artifacts of both James and Ella Pepper.
